Adopt a Book Register
There are 4,700 volumes in the Leighton Library collection, dating from 1504. Some volumes show signs of wear, due to handling, and so specialist book restorers are involved to rebind or repair as required., since we do not want to limit access to these beautiful artefacts.
The Leighton Library Trust is very grateful to donors over the years who have contributed to the cost of restoration work on volumes requiring specialist repair work to be undertaken.
Sponsors of books in our Adopt a Book programme are acknowledged in our Adopt a Book Register held in the Leighton Libraryibrary, here on the Leighton Library website, and by a name label with the book where this can be done.
