The Leighton Library has a 1596 edition of "I. Lipsi Opera omnia quae ad criticam proprie spectant" (I. All the works of Lipsi which refer properly to criticism) by Flemish philologist & philosopher Justus Lipsius who was born #OnThisDay 18 October 1547. Offices today of the European Council and the Council of the European Union are in the Justus Lipsius building, bearing his name.
