The Leighton Library has a 1619 edition of "Antiquitatum Romanarum corpus absolutissimum" (The Most Complete Body of Roman Antiquities) edited by Scottish scholar & historian Thomas Dempster who was born #OnThisDay 23 August 1579. He came to the attention of King James VI when he dedicated the book to the King
