The Leighton Library has a 1634 edition of “Titi Livii Historiarum libri ex recensione heinsiana” by one of the most famous scholars of the Dutch Renaissance, Daniel Heinsius, who died #OnThisDay 25 February 1655. In 1612 he was appointed as 'Professor Politices' at the University of Leiden, the world's first chair in political science
