A message from the Chairman of the Trustees of Dunblane's historic Leighton Library, Rev Colin Renwick:

The Rt Hon Lord Robertson of Port Ellen“I am delighted to announce that The Rt Hon Lord Robertson of Port Ellen, KT GCMG HonFRSE PC, has kindly agreed to become Patron of the Leighton Library. Lord Robertson, who was Secretary of State for Defence from 1997-1999 and Secretary General of NATO from 1999-2003, is a Dunblane resident who speaks of the importance, both historically and contemporaneously, of the Leighton Library. We wish Lord Robertson well in this appointment and look forward to working with him in this exciting new phase of the Library’s future.”
