The Leighton Library has a 1564 edition of "De imitando Christo" (The Imitation of Christ) by German priest & mystic Thomas à Kempis who died #OnThisDay 25 July 1471. This is regarded as the best known Christian book on devotion which, apart from the Bible, has been translated into more languages than any other book - and is the smallest book in Dunblane's historic Leighton Library, in which Robert Leighton made many notes in this book - in tiny handwriting for the tiny book!
