The Leighton Library has a 1629 edition of "Utopia" (about the political system of an imaginary island state) by noted Renaissance humanist and statesman (who was England's Lord High Chancellor) Sir Thomas More who was executed for treason against King Henry VIII of England #OnThisDay 6 July 1535. Originally written in Latin, and published in the Netherlands, it was not until sixteen years after More's execution, that it was first published in England as an English translation.
