The Leighton Library has a 1558 edition of "Breuis et perspicua ratio iudicandi genituras, ex physicis causis & vera experientia extructa: Cypriano Leouitio a Leonicia autore" to which mathematician, astronomer, astrologer & occultist John Dee, who was born #OnThisDay 13 July 1527, contributed. He devoted much of his life to the study of alchemy, divination and philosophy
